The Friends are pleased to announce THE GOOD READ: Marfa Reads Fahrenheit 451.

"In one of literature's most haunting denunciations of censorship, Ray Bradbury uses the materials of science fiction to tell the story of Guy Montag, a fireman forced to burn books."

- organize small group book discussions,
- help with ideas for community wide event,
- volunteer for movies, PR committee, student essay contest, etc.
- help with fundraisers for Little Good Read books and Tshirts,
- or send a donation to Friends of Marfa Library and mark it The Good Read
   


Thanks to the generous support of the Meyer Levy Foundation, the AT&T Foundation and individual donors.  They have provided the seed money to launch this ONE BOOK:ONE COMMUNITY program.  
   
Advance free copies of Fahrenheit 451 will be available soon for all potential sponsors, hosts and volunteers.
